I was born in 1949 in Favara, Sicily. When I was 7 years old, my family and I moved to France and, after staying in several regions we finally settled in the south of France. After receiving my diploma in precision machining, I started to work in this industry. Since my youth, I have always felt an interest for knives, but it is only in 1966 that I started to make some. Then, year after year, while working, I created hunting knives for my friends or my personal use.
In 1988 I discovered magazines specialized in knives. Excited by these enthralling readings, I constructed several knives and exhibited at the first Paris Knife Show in October 1990. There, I sold my first knife: first customer, first success. Stimulated, I continued on my impetus and quickly I made my first folder. In 1992 I received the 1st Prize of the " Laguiole of Laguiole " at the contest organized by the magazine "La Passion des Couteaux".
The following year I took advantage of my vacation to go to the USA to study with Steve Johnson, one of the world's best knifemaker, where I learnt the secrets of the perfect finish. Year after year, I perfected my style both in manufacture and with the materials I use to make my knives.
My wife Chantal and my son Julien share the same passion for knives.
