The lines of my knives are characterized by the fluidity of the
blade and the curves of the handle. These last years the fascination
for knives did not cease growing. The fusion of a blade with engravings
or sculptures on the handle affirmed the manufacture of the knife
as an art and thus became increasingly appreciated. Personally I
think that the association of sculptures, engravings, scrimshaws
etc... was exaggerated so much that one forgot the main part: the
knife itself. But recently this tendency seems to have matured and
becomes more reasonable and of better taste.
Today the art knife can be considered as a jewel when it reaches
the perfection of the finish and the purity of the lines.
The future of the knife is in the preservation of its essence;
cutting, simplicity and perfection. Because the collectors are becoming
more and more informed and demanding, the development of the art
knife can only follow this direction.
To finish I wish to repeat once again that two most significant
qualities, which characterize a good knife, are: simplicity and
perfection.
